The gay media watchdogs over at GLAAD are bent out of shape because Will Smith’s titular character in Hancock uses the word “homo.” Thrice!!

At approximately 24 minutes into the film, while Jason Bateman’s PR whiz works to rehabilitate the superhero’s tarnished image, he shows Hancock three comic book images in an effort to inspire him. But Hancock rejects the traditional image of costumed superheroes as he responds to each one: “Homo. Homo in red. Norwegian homo.”

The audience is prompted to laugh and there is no response to or retribution for Hancock’s remarks. Bateman’s character, the father of a young son, could have easily spoken up instead of giving Hancock a pass.…Rated PG-13, Hancock is being marketed to families, teens and young adults. This film certainly presents an opportunity for parents to explain to their kids that the usually entertaining character of Hancock is not modeling good behavior. But let’s get real: Hancock’s use of the slur sends a problematic message that it’s okay to discriminate using such hateful words.

Publicity, publicity, publicity.

Now we know why EXACTLY IT FLOP. Having Jessica Simpson there, eventhough only for a few seconds could make the whole matter worse. It’s like a Jinx, first the reality show that made her marriage in the rocks, now every film she’s in, is a FLOP FLOP FLOP.

Smart, beautiful and headstrong, Alexis is the girl of Dustin’s dreams. But after only five weeks of dating, the love-struck Dustin is coming on so strong that Alexis is forced to slow things down – permanently. Devastated and desperate to get her back, Dustin turns to his best friend, Tank, the rebound specialist. A master at seducing – and offending – women, Tank gets hired by freshly dumped guys to take their ex-girlfriends out on the worst date of their lives – an experience so horrible it sends them running gratefully back to their beaus.

With big power come bigger responsibilities! This must be apt for SINGH IS KINNG which is fast turning out to be THE big film arriving at the beginning of the second half of the year. With the film being sold for unheard of prices all over and an unanticipated frenzy in the international territories that have been hitherto unexplored, SINGH IS KINNG has a lot riding on it. Looking at the gargantuan expectations that this Akshay Kumar – Katrina Kaif film is carrying, its makers have decided to embark on an extensive promotional drive.

Though the film is slated for a 8th August release, the promotion for SINGH IS KINNG would begin 2 months in advance with the first television promo being out on 6th June. Confirms a source associated with the film, “We can’t even think of going with anything less than a 2 month promotional campaign here. Ours is indeed a big film and it is but obvious that the awareness suits the kind of stature SINGH IS KINNG carries.

We have an entire planning in place where we would be unleashing a new song on the music channels on a regular basis.” Incidentally SING IS KINNG is the only release planned for 8th August while a week later YRF’s BACHNA AE HASEENO arrives. Produced by Vipul Shah and directed by Anees Bazmee, SINGH IS KINNG is touted to be Akshay Kumar’s biggest film till date. With music by Pritam, SINGH IS KINNG is a multi starrer which also includes Neha Dhupia, Ranvir Shorey, Javed Jaffrey, Sonu Sood, Om Puri, Sudhanshu Pandey and Kirron Kher in its cast.

DISASTER MOVIE, the latest genre spoof from filmmakers Jason Friedbeg and Aaron Seltzer, the team that parodied the teen-horror genre in Scary Movie, clichéd romantic comedies in Date Movie, overblown blockbusters in Epic Movie, and the ultra-macho 300 in Meet The Spartans. DISASTER MOVIE stars Matt Lanter, Vanessa Minnillo, Carmen Electra, Kim Kardashian, G-Thang, Nicole Parker, Crista Flanagan and Ike Barinholtz.

You have seen the stars of sets. The hideous pics of Vanessa wearing a cheerleading costume. We will spare you that torture actually.
