THODA PYAR THODA MAGIC MOVIE REVIEW BY TINSEL GURUS
June 28, 2008
We need to give a loud round of applause to Kunal Kohli for producing and directing this movie. After Tashan, we thought this movie is enjoyable for adults and kids.
Which was a good promo for Yash Raj, becasue his new project “Roadside ROmeo” is also for kids.
We won’t want to spoil the surprise in the movie, but we have to say this, AMEESHA PATEL ROLE WAS USELESS, WASTE OF TIME, and it is evident everyone hates her in Real and Reel life.
Even Manish Malhotra hates her, her clothes are all similar, unlike Rani who has a permanent costume as she is a fairy….
Nevertheless, the song is great, the storyline was moving and touching, the orphans were fabulous, Rani Mukherji made us cry, because ladies and gentleman she is BACK!!!

RANI IS STILL VERY MUCH UPSET OF MARRIAGE RUMOURS
June 25, 2008
What makes us really sad is not the rumours, but THE MAN YOU MIGHT WANT TO MARRY RANI.
RANI DOES NOT LIKE TO BE BRANDED YASH RAJ
June 24, 2008
“What exactly do people mean by this?” says a source very close to Rani. “Agreed Rani has done comparatively more films with the Yashraj banner. But that’s because any heroine in Bollywood would be foolish to turn down an author-backed heroine-centric part like Laga Chunri Mein Daag.”
Continues the source, “In fact Rani makes it a point to remind people that lately she did Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna, Ravi Chopra’s Baghban and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. None of these is a Yashraj film.”
In fact if rumours are to be believed, Rani is on the verge of signing a couple of films that are far removed from the Yashraj banner.
“One of course is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical Bajirao Mastani, which is far from shelved. Sanjay plans to make the film in the near future. And while the rest of the cast may change Rani as Bajirao’s wife remains in place. There are other films that Rani is seriously considering,” says the source.

Adds the source, “Some time ago, Rani said ‘no’ to Mira Nair’s Namesake for emotional reasons. The excuse was dates. But Rani had her own reasons for foregoing a role that has changed Tabu’s career internationally. Today Rani is in a space were she realises being hard-headed and business-like is what Bollywood is all about. She certainly does not want to be branded as a Yashraj heroine.”
Whispers that she acts like a hostess at Yashraj Studios are strongly denied by people close to the organisation. “This is all in people’s minds. Rani is at home in every production house. Have you seen her with Karan Johar or Sanjay Bhansali? She’s totally relaxed in their homes, has long chats with their moms and even goes into their kitchen at will.”
At the moment Rani is in intense preparation for her cricket film with new director Anurag Singh. Says the source, “It’s being said she’s agreed to work with a new director because of the banner. But Rani has worked with Kunal Kohli and Shaad Ali. Even Karan Johar was a debutant when Rani did Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. As for working with only Yashraj, Kunal Kohli’s Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic is entirely Kunal’s production. Yashraj have only lent their name.” You said the opposite RANI:
Amisha Patel and Rani Mukherjee has team up once for Magal Pandey, and during that period, Rani Reign amoing other actors. Because she had success written everywhere around her, and she had YASH RAJ BANNER thooughout.
RANI WANTS SRK AGAIN…
June 19, 2008
Rani Mukerji’s last few films — Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Tara Rum Pum and Saawariya — did not set the box office on fire and now the actor is banking on her angel avatar in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic to end the box-office drought.
“I can vouch for the fact that being an angel is a hard task and portraying one on the screen is no easy job. For instance, even during sad moments, crying is not an angel’s forte. It was a challenging role in more than one way. There were a lot of action sequences and director Kunal Kohli made me do some gravity defying stunts that reminded me of Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish act. Imagine being hooked to a harness mid-air. But the air up there is much more refreshing,” she said with a smile.
The angel angle certainly reminds us of City of Angels and Mary Poppins but Rani brushes off the comparisons. “Thoda… has an Indian feel to it. To describe it in a few words, I’d say, it is a blend of the fantasy element with the real world. It does not have the Tara Rum Pum hangover either, the only common link is the Saif-Rani jodi, and the similarity ends there.
This is my third film with Saif, and I feel, we have evolved as actors since Hum Tum. There are four kids in the film and two of them were facing the camera for the first time and it was amazing to see how well they adapted to the entire situation. My last two films, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Saawariya were of the serious sort and the role required a certain amount of maturity but this film has been quite a different journey. It gave me a chance to relive many of my childhood moments and fantasies.”
Moving to her next project, she says, “In July, I will start working on debutant director Anurag Singh’s film with Shahid Kapoor. I play a cricketer in the film, so right now I am busy learning the tricks of the game.”
As for something exciting on the cards with her favourite co-star, Shah Rukh Khan, she adds, “It’s been a couple of years since Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna happened and I am hoping something nice with Shah Rukh will soon come across and of course I will grab the offer.”
While things are usually bright on the work front, Rani’s personal life is bogged down with controversies, mainly her alleged relationship with filmmaker Aditya Chopra. “Every other day a controversy, which has no truth to it, is created about me. And the false news spreads like wild fire. I have a busy schedule and it is not possible to come up with clarifications every time, I just hope there will be a full stop to all of this someday,” she rues.
We hope so too Rani.
