We love to imitate superstars and their fashionable styles onscreen. But the credit goes to the people, who design their looks. Shiraz Siddique, 28, is one such costume designer, who made Shah Rukh Khan look good in Chak De! India and Riteish Deshmukh look good in Dhamaal.

Nithya Ramani asked Shiraz to list his favourite star outfits:
Riteish Deshmukh

I have designed all of his costumes for Dhamaal. Initially, I designed his outfits for a photo shoot. He liked the outfits so much that he wore them for the music launch of Dhamaal on the same day. He also asked me to do his costumes for his other films as well.

I have designed some of his outfits in Cash, Heyy Babyy, De Taali and his new film with David Dhawan.

I designed Riteish’s outfit for the recent IIFA awards too. He wore a steal blue bandgala jacket.

Shah Rukh Khan

I designed SRK’s outfits in Chak De! India. His outfits were very simple but that makes it the toughest. I also styled his outfits for his ads like Airtel, Belmonte and Dish TV.

I loved working with him and Farah Khan in Om Shanti Om. That was my best experience with him so fararah is very particular about what she wants, and who does her costumes. She likes bright colours. We had to design the outfits according to the 1970s and 1980s styles. I learnt a lot during that time.

Abhishek Bachchan

I love Abhishek’s outfit in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. It is a simple white shirt with a black velvet waist coat. It suited him so well that the photograph was used for the film’s promotions.

Karan Johar

I started my career with Karan Johar. I have always wanted to be a costume designer but my mother wanted me to become a director when she realised I was inclined towards films. I assisted Karan as a junior assistant director during Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham.

Karan saw my interest towards costumes and designing and asked me to be the costume coordinator for Kal Ho Naa No and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. I styled Karan in the second season of Koffee with Karan. I also designed for the guests, who came for the show. Karan Johar looks the best in a black suit with a sheath of black shiny sequences in the collar. I think he is the best dressed man in the film industry.

I have never designed for Urmila Matondkar; that remains my dream. I watched Rangeela eight times and I fell in love with Urmila. I would like to design a white georgette or chiffon sari for her, and my other favourite actress, Karisma Kapoor. There is no outfit as beautiful as a sari for a woman.

The denim dress that she wore for the TV launch was the SAME dress she wore for the IIFA nomination annoucement just days ago!

EEEEUW? Does that mean that the dress is not cleaned or something?!

That is disgusting! IS THERE A DEARTH OF A NEW SET OF DRESS IN HER WADROBE? Cheap ass. Just look at her face.

On a good day, Urmila looks presentable at at least 30. On a bad day, she looks tired and old and desperate for a hit movie. We will spare you the gory pictures.

Here is the beautiful Urmila Matondkar at the launch of a new TV show for Sony titles “Wear Parivaar”.

Both are sexy, Both are slutty, Both are winers already. So stop it. Stop this fight. If you say chose one, i will say Malika becuase she’s a new fresh face, a new talent. Oldies should just retire. But the cards has turned, The coming year seems to be quite promising for the ‘Rangeela’ girl. After bagging in a role in ‘Karzzz’, the Urmila Matondkar lady has landed up with Kundan Shah’s movie ‘Masquerade’.

However, Urmila was not Kundan’s first choice.
The role was initially offered to Mallika Sherawat but the actress started demanding a lot of changes. Owing to the attitude and creative differences with the director, Mallika finally walked out of the project and the role fell into Urmila’s kitty. Urmila is keen on ‘Masquerade’ as it has a great storyline; a prostitute, who becomes a politician. Kundan is promising Urmi a big comeback and we hope that everything works out well this time.

Gosh! a comeback, and playing all slutty already.
